An der Universität Siegen gibt es ein einfaches System für Raumbezeichnungen, das automatisch beschreibt wo ihr den Raum finden könnt.

Dabei beginnt jede Raumbezeichnung mit einem Buchstabenkürzel für den entsprechenden Campus.

Einige Beispiele (alle Kürzel und Orte findet ihr hier):
AR Adolf-Reichwein-Straße
H Hölderlinstraße
ENC Emmy-Noether-Campus

Danach folgt die Bezeichnung für den Gebäudeteil am Campus, die ihr euch auf dem Lageplan des entsprechenden Campus anschauen könnt.

Für den AR-Campus sind für euch häufig vorkommende Gebäudeteile:
F – G Chemietrakt
A – C Räume anderer Fakultäten, die häufig als Klausurräume genutzt werden.
SK Siegerland-Kolleg (Vorlesungen der Biologie)

Als letztes kommt die Raumnummer, die sich aus dem Stockwerk des Gebäudeteils und einer Nummer zusammensetzt. Dabei geben die erste oder die ersten beiden Zahlen das Stockwerk an („0“ für Ebene 0, „1“ für den ersten Stock, „01“ für das erste Untergeschoss).

AR-F 002 – Campus Adolf-Reichweinstraße, Gebäudeteil F, Ebene 0, Raum 02
AR-H 108 – Campus Adolf-Reichweinstraße, Gebäudeteil H, Ebene 1, Raum 08

Orientation on the campuses

At the University of Siegen there is a simple system for room names that automatically describes where you can find the room.

Each room name starts with a letter abbreviation for the corresponding campus.

Some examples (all abbreviations and locations can be found here): AR Adolf-Reichwein-Straße
H Hölderlinstraße
ENC Emmy-Noether-Campus

This is followed by the designation for the building section on campus, which you can view on the map of the corresponding campus.

For the AR campus, common building parts for you are:
F – G chemistry wing
A – C Rooms of other faculties, which are often used as examination rooms.
SK Siegerland-Kolleg (lectures of biology)

Last comes the room number, which is composed of the floor of the building section and a number. Here, the first or the first two numbers indicate the floor („0“ for level 0, „1“ for the second floor, „01“ for the first basement).
